Welcome to Biketrash Holiday.    In case we’re not yet acquainted, my name is Linda, which is the most common (boring!) name given to girls born in 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa.  Today I live with my wonderful partner, Desha, in Austin, Texas.  I’m retired from working 31 years as a court reporter and love riding two wheels.   Biketrash is my alter-ego, who is thankfully much more interesting than Midwestern, middle-aged, pensioner Linda!

Something magical happens the moment your fingers touch a bike’s handlebars, your leg swings over the seat, and you and machine begin to roll.   It doesn’t matter if the motor is human or gas powered or if the ride is a half mile or a thousand miles.  It’s the two wheels that make the difference!   When you combine that joyous forward motion with a fun destination and story, you have a holiday.

This blog is dedicated to bringing the two-wheeled riding experience to life.   This blog is a Biketrash Holiday!

HOW in the world did you find this after, what, 30 years or so? And how did you remember Grandma Swinney’s name? I see your e-mail address so will contact you there.

Love your Hi-Vis jacket! Don’t know if you get notifications or not when people post on your blog, but I found you by googling for hi-vis ladies motorcycle jacekts :) Right now, I am looking at buying the same jacket you are wearing online from someone. Would love to get your opinion on it before I pay to have it shipped to me. Thanks :)

I’ve had that jacket for about three years now and I like the simple design. Several times strangers have come up to me at a gas stop and said they could see me from far away. It’s not the coolest (temperaturewise) mesh jacket you can buy, but comfortable and the liner is fairly warm. Hope that helps.
